OR-100-2016-007 For release: Immediate Contact: Cheyne Rossbach (541) 579-0648 Road along Weaver Creek Closed to Through Traffic Roseburg, Ore. – The Bureau of Land Management, Roseburg District, has issued a closure of the 29-3-16.0 road along Weaver Creek due to a partial road failure caused by heavy rains. The road failure occurred 2.25 miles north of South Myrtle Creek road, located at: T. 29S, R. 03W, Section 04. The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land, the most of any Federal agency. This land, known as the National System of Public Lands, is primarily located in 12 Western states, including Alaska. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation. The BLM's mission is to manage and conserve the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations under our mandate of multiple-use and sustained yield.
