英语作为第二语言的强化课程
州长州立大学的英语强化课程是为了满足国内和国际学生的需要，在提高英
语语言技能的同时进一步促进学生的学业获得成功。该课程是由学校专业的
教师设计和授课，并在学业，社交以及文化等方面给予学生有效的帮助。
课程特色：
• 根据学生的程度提供四个水平的课程
• 核心课程：听力和口语，阅读和写作，综合学习
• 选修课程：多元化读写课程, 托福考试准备，发音，校园讲座，跨文化语境
• 每周20小时的课程教学，其中包括2小时的语音课程
• 浏览芝加哥和其他伊利诺伊州的文化景点
• 学长辅导计划
• 接受非学位学生（可选择非全日制课程）
• 提供托福考场
费用包括：
课程作业，同侪辅导，教材，模拟试题，学生活
动费，机场接送交通，学校与住宿交通，课外活
动，活动往返交通和保险。
15周—秋季和春季学期 $ 5,000 （每学期）
12周—夏季学期 $ 4,000

Intensive ESL Program
Governors State University’s Intensive English Program serves the needs of international and domestic
students that want to improve their English language skills in order to further their academic success.
The curriculum is designed and taught by professional faculty who prepare students academically,
socially, and culturally for success as university students.
Program Highlights:
• Four levels of academic instruction with split-level placement available to those who qualify
• Core courses: Listening and Speaking, Reading and Writing, Integrated Studies
• Elective courses: Multimodal literacy, TOEFL® test preparation, Pronunciation, Campus Seminar, Cross-cultural Context
• 20 hours of classroom instruction with two lab hours per week
• Excursions to Chicago and other Illinois cultural and geographical sites
• Peer mentoring programs
• Part-time available for non-degree seeking students
• Onsite TOEFL® testing
Costs included:
Course work, peer mentoring, textbooks, tests,
student activity fees, airport pick up, local shuttle,
co-curricular activities, transportation to and from
activities and insurance.
