Islamic history of Japan is fairly short, first historical records go back to the second half of the 19th century when
the two most powerful empires in the East, Ottoman and Japanese, had established political and economic ties. A
significant event in the cooperation between the empires was in 1890 when Sultan Abdalhamid II sent a
delegation of 700 Turkish military experts led by Othman Pasha on a ship to Japan where it was welcomed and
hosted with great honor by the Japanese Emperor. In 1905 Tatars from Russia built first mosque in Osaka.
Although Islam in Japan didn’t spread exponentially throughout the nation it grew steadily in the last 100 years
and today there could be around 100,000 indigenous Japanese Muslims in the country, concentrated mainly in
Tokyo, Nagoya and Kobe. Historically, the attitude of Japanese people and government towards Islam was rather
friendly, even today when the Western powers exert big effort to create Islamophobia, Japan refrained from
joining the propaganda and maintained its friendly ties with the Muslim world.
Professor Doctor Hassan Nakata, 50, from Doshisha University, Kyoto is one of the prominent Muslim
intellectuals in the country who will go down in the Islamic history of Japan as the Father of Gold Dinar. Dr.
Nakata has just minted Japanese gold dinars, for the first time in the entire history of Japan! This is a
monumental milestone not only for the Muslims in Japan but for the whole nation and the time will prove that,
Inshallah.
For more than half a century this great nation is suffering from the oppression of capitalism and New World
Order. It will be only through the door of Islam that Japan could move forward and Dr. Nakata single-handedly
just turned the key of that door by minting 25 dinars at exorbitant cost for which Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala will
most certainly reward him beyond limitation.
We ask Allah the Almighty to give success to Dr. Nakata and Saima Arai in bringing the
Shariah Currency to the people of Japan. Amin.
