Lower Division Major Requirements
for Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies
Please note Community College students can transfer to United States University at any time as long as they
have completed IAC minimum enrollment requirements. IAC’s minimum requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent .
Specialized degree program for foreign students who have completed their coursework
at a foreign College or University.
The USU experience: USU students will have the opportunity to complete their Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degrees in an educationally enriching environment in courses that are held just two days a week in the evening. Each course is one month long or nine sessions in duration, making it easy for students
to work and carry out life activities successfully and fully while in school. For further information about USU please call us at the number below or meet with

Information about the Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies degree: 1)The Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies degree is for students who
have completed most of their coursework at a foreign college or university and would like to get a US Bachelor’s Degree so that they might become eligible
to enter a US Master’s or PhD program of study. 2)The Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies consists of 40 core units. 3) Of the 40 units needed to
complete this program, 10 units can be completed at a community college. IAC requires that students must complete a minimum of 30 units at USU.
In addition to the core program, students must present documents with college level course work that equals general education subject matter: 2 courses in mathematics; 2 courses in science; 2 courses in humanities; 2 courses in social science/history.
Lower Division Major requirements for Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies:
1) Students must complete courses with a GPA of 2.0 & all classes must be completed with a “C” grade or above.
2) Students should not complete more than 10 units below total prior to transfer & should see an Academic Counselor ASAP.
