Lower Division General Education Requirements
Please note Community College students can transfer to United States University at any time as long as they
have completed USU minimum enrollment/transfer requirements. USU’s minimum requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Transfer Information: Students must have a High School diploma or GED or have passed the High School Equivalency exam.
Transfer students can transfer up to 60 lower division units from Transfer Level Courses to USU under the following conditions: 1) Students
must have a GPA of 2.0 in all transfer courses, AND 2) Each transfer course must be completed with a “C” grade or better.
*Please note United States University does not accept “D” grades.

Complete any A1 course from CSU Breadth General Education or any 1C course from IGETC
Area B: Science, Math and Technology (Please complete one course from each area to include one B1, one B2, one B3 & one B4 course
as well as complete one lab course with either your B1 or B2 class).

Foreign Language Requirement: Please note some USU majors require two semesters of a foreign language. If you are a bilingual student, you
may complete this requirement with upper division courses after transfer. This requirement can also be met through AP or CLEP completion.
* Student must pass an examination administered by USU to receive credit.
