Smog Check Update
Fee $325.00
Learn advanced techniques for the repair and diagnostics of smog failures, as well as advanced diagnostics. This course
meets the 16 hours of automotive technology update training required every two years for license renewal. Cuyamaca
College is at a BAR-Certified School. You must bring picture identification and smog license number (if you have a
license) to class. A certificate will be issued upon completion of the course.

Smog Citation
Fee $250.00
BAR Certified 8 hour training for licensed Smog Check Inspectors who have received a citation by the bureau. As
applicable, the training may include a quiz to confirm the training component, a review of the official inspection
procedures, hands-on assessments using vehicles with emission control defects or tampers, and a final written exam.
You must bring picture identification and smog license number (if you have a license) to class. Please provide an email
address and phone number when registering.

1. Scroll to find your course, write down the course number for the section you would like to enroll in,
then click the blue link “register here."
2. Click the yellow box, “Continuing Ed”.
3. Click “Register and pay for continuing education courses.” Located on the right hand side under
register for classes
4. On that form, there is a field toward the top called “course code number.” Type in course
number and hit submit.
5. Select the white box for the section dates that fit your requirements and hit submit
6. Fill out your personal identification and payment, and click submit.
7. You will receive an email that confirms your registration and provides a user name for future
registrations.
