Commitment
• This may be a difficult class for you
• Expect 6-10+ hours of reading and studying
each week in addition to class sessions
• The pace is fast so missing class is not
recommended
• Tutoring is available (OPEN LAB – TBA)

Exams - Dates
Lecture and Lab Exam Dates are posted on the
website. These dates are tentative until
confirmed.
Exams
3 Exams:
– Check Website for updated exam schedule
– Combination of objective questions: multiple-choice,
matching, true/false and fill-in-the-blank plus short
answer, short essay, and diagram labeling.
– Exams will be given in lab and may require you to
identify structures, tissues, etc.
– Study questions for each Chapter/Unit will be provided
– We will have mini-reviews before each exam so that you
can assess your exam readiness and study accordingly
Strict Exam Rules: Exams may not be rescheduled or made-up
due to tardiness or absence. Students with extraordinary
circumstances should discuss them with the instructor as
soon as the situation occurs.
Lectures
• I will try my best to post lecture PowerPoints
on ANGEL before lecture
• Lectures may not cover ALL the material on
exams (but the vast majority of my exam
questions come from lectures, labs, and the
study questions that guide your reading)
Quizzes/Homework
• Quizzes
– There will be 5 quizzes.
– Quizzes will cover material presented in lab and
lecture
– Quizzes are designed to prepare you for the
exams (e.g. fill-in-the-blank, short answer, label
etc.) and help pace your studies.
• Homework is typically due on Mondays unless
otherwise specified.
