Cuyamaca College Administrative Services Safety Committee Agenda Friday, March 17 10 AM Old Business • Police Reports o Reviewed • Lighting Issues on Campus o Trees have been trimmed that helped with illumination o Some light poles have been removed to accommodate the construction o New dusk to dawn lights to be installed around the Comm Arts site o Additional lighting to be installed around the fire road and Math/Science building • Maps of New Parking Lot o There will be new “temporary” parking for construction employees. Area will have some sort of fencing around it o John Heimaster to contact Gafcon regarding his concerns about the drainage for the parking lot at the volley ball courts o Targeted finish date for parking lot at volley ball courts is August 2006 o Targeted finish date for parking lot 5 is August 2006 o Landscaping in lot 5 depends on quoted bid New Business • Haz Mat Storage Area o Ron Knight is working on a reported to be reviewed by Facilities group at weekly meeting o When report is finished Ron Knight will notify Patty Stephenson and she will invite Ron to the next Facilities meeting • Fire Inspection Update o Ron reported only a few more items still outstanding • Police personnel @ Cashier o Public Safety will provide an officer’s around Cashier’s office at closing time M-Th 5 pm and 4:30 on Fridays • Library Graffiti o Public Safety to monitor LRC restrooms Round Table o Public Safety to adjust campus lights M-Th o One-stop parking lot to become 1-hour visitor parking “only” Next Month Meeting o Campus signage reviewed o Update from parking committee Cuyamaca College Administrative Services Safety Committee Agenda Friday, April 28 10 AM Old Business • Police Reports o Reviewed • Update from Parking Committee o May 3 - Speed bumps will be installed on the perimeter road around PE and trailers to improve the safety through the area o June 1 – staff parking will convert to handicapped only 17 spaces o June 1 – Staff only at track plus 3 for visitors o Aug 15 – New lot will be complete (volleyball courts) o No access around “R” building and T-trailers. Police Reports o Reviewed 2. Construction Update o Science Tech move in December 18, 2006 o Fence removed 2nd week of January 2007 o Safety Committee will schedule a walk through during the January meeting of the Science Tech Mall New Business • Physical resource accreditation report to be reviewed by safety committee, review and return by November 30, 2006 Other HazMat Report Ron Knight will join the Facilities committee meeting on November 27 at 1 pm in F106 to review and update the report Tree Trimming Kostos Tree Service has been on the campus November 10th and the 17th to trim trees. Trees were trimmed along the president’s corridor down to the LRC this includes the main steps and the handicap ramp. The trees that overhang the picnic tables at the base of the bank were also thinned for safety.
