UC APPLICATION WORKSHOP Presented by Cuyamaca College Counselors The Application Period Please complete Pre-Test Fall 2015 Application period opens on August 2014, due November 30, 2014 You must apply on-line: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/adm issions/ AA/AS Degree @ CC Petition to change your Registration Priorities if more than 90 units @ http://www.cuyamaca.edu/admissions/for ms.asp Apply to graduate with AA or AS degree from Cuyamaca College @ http://www.cuyamaca.edu/admissions/for ms.asp UC Minimum Transfer Admission Requirements 60 UC units by Spring 15 Complete the following course pattern, with a C or better: Two courses in English Composition One transferable math concepts and quantitative reasoning Four transferable college course from at least two of the following areas: arts and humanities, the social and behavior science and the physical and biological Science Should have completed an Online TAG application for UC’s in September UCSD UniversityLink For UniversityLink program a contract must be sign and submitted in your first year GPA 3.0 by the end of the fall Check ULink box on your UC application!!! UC TAG Check TAG boxe on your UC application to indicate that you are a TAG student!!! Helpful Hints Save username and password Have a valid email and view frequently. Personal Statement Take time to compose it in a word processing application, such as Microsoft Word, and then copy and paste it into the appropriate boxes. Respond to both questions max. of 1,000 words total. Divide the word count as you wish, one question must be at least 250 words. Transcripts Send transcripts no later than July 1st Strongly recommended to complete IGETC Certification and submit to UC. You must request transcripts from each campus you attended. AP scores must also be requested. www.collegeboard.com Submit high school transcripts Send transcripts directly to campus Application Status https://www.ucapplication.net/ucap/ Must update your UC application in January 2015, including your fall grades. Student Intent to Register Turn in by June 1 with $100 Remember to request certification of your IGETC general education in the Admissions & Records office no later than July 1st. Payment Options $70 for ea. campus Credit Cards Check by mail Fee Waiver After you submit Acknowledgment You should receive a printed acknowledgment in the mail from the UC Undergraduate Application Processing Service four to five weeks after you submit your application.
