?
• A new type of associate degree -- designed for a specific major
offered by California State Universities (CSU).
• An option that allows students to complete an Associate degree
while completing CSU transfer requirements.



It is NOT a guarantee to a specific campus.
It is not TAG.
It is a tool for admission and graduation practices.

ADT: WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
A California Community College student who earns
an ADT will benefit from the following:
• Earn an Associate Degree
• Guaranteed admission to the CSU system (ADT does not
guarantee a specific CSU campus)
• .10 GPA “bump”
• Only 60 units required after transfer to earn BA or BS
ADT: WHAT IS NEEDED?
To earn the ADT degree, students must:
 Earn a competitive GPA for your major
 Complete a minimum of 60 CSU-transferable semester units
 Complete either the California State University General Education
breadth pattern (CSU GE “green sheet”) or the Intersegmental General
Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC “yellow sheet”) for CSU
 Complete ADT major requirements as listed in Cuyamaca catalog
In addition it is recommended that students:
 Complete American Institutions CSU graduation requirement

• ADT majors with highest number of redirects:
Psychology, Communication (Applied), Sociology,
Criminal Justice, Business Administration (general) and
Political Science
• Non-ADT applicants may not able to be accommodated
in competitive majors
• SDSU offers no TAG for any major/emphasis for which
an ADT has been approved
• Applicants with ADT from a local community college
receive priority consideration for admission

• Applicants with 12 units during last semester from only a
local community college receive priority consideration
for admission
