Menu Option: CR ROW Solar Energy
Purpose: This report will be used to track the number of solar energy ROW actions
being processed and granted on public lands. The BLM Strategic Plan identifies solar
energy as one of the measures being tracked. This report is used to provide the
Department and others seeking information on the BLM renewable workload.
When viewing any of the various report formats, you can click on the serial number and
the case recordation serial register page will be run for that case.
Selection Criteria: This report allows you to search on mandatory criteria.
Mandatory Criteria: Admin State and Action Date
Procedure:
1. Select CR ROW Solar Energy from the reporting menu.
Identify the Mandatory Information:
2. Click Set for Admin State to specify the state(s) in which to report information.
Type the two-letter state code in the text field or select it from the list.
3. Click Set for Action Date to specify the date range.
Identify the beginning date and the ending date separated by a comma.
Note: To change criteria selection, click Return to Criteria Selection.
TIP:
To select multiple values for a criterion, enter each code separated by a comma in
the text field or use the ALT key (for non-sequential items) or Shift key (for
sequential items) and select multiple items in the list box. Click Close or click Set
for another criterion to retain the search criteria.
Process Report:
4. After selecting all criteria, click Run Report.
5. Click OK to confirm the report criteria.
6. When the report has finished processing, there are multiple report options available.
Click on the Down Arrow to select the report format you want to view.
EXAMPLE:
Query: How many solar energy actions have been processed in CA in FY09?
Set Admin State
Type “CA” into the edit field or select “CA” in the list box.
Set Action Date
Type “10/01/2009, 09/30/2010” into the edit field and click the green checkmark
Click “Run Report”
When the processing has completed, the cursor will change from an hourglass back to an
arrow and the Current Solar Energy Cases report will be displayed.
Current Solar Energy Cases This report lists authorized and pending solar energy
cases.
Total Action Summary:
This report lists action code counts for the following categories:
NEPA INITIATED – Action Code 004 – NEPA Analysis Initiated
NEPA APPROVED – Action Code 005 – NEPA Analysis Approved
ROW GRANTS PROCESSED – Action Code 039 – Post Auth Apln Denied,
125 – Apln Rej/Denied; 304 – Auth Amended/Modified; 307 – ROW Granted –Issued;
308 – ROW Renewed
ROW ACTIONS PROCESSED – 037 – Post Auth Apln Withdrawn; 130 – Apln
Withdrawn; 139 – Asgn Approved; 199 – Canceled; 234 – Expired; 244 – Terminated;
269 – Asgn Denied; 310 – Relq Accepted; 553 – Case Created by Asng; 890 –Relq
(Partial) Accepted.
Total Pending Applications: This report lists the number of cases and total acres by
customer name (where Interest Relationship = Applicant) for all pending solar energy
applications.
Total Authorized Grants: This report lists the number of cases and total acres by
customer name (where Interest Relationship = Holder/Billee, or Holder) for all authorized
solar energy cases.
Megawatt Pending: This report lists the total megawatt by category for all pending
cases. The data is obtained from action remarks for action code 124 – Application
Received.
Megawatt Authorized: This report lists the total megawatt by category for all
authorized cases. The data is obtained from action remarks for action code 124 –
Application Received.
Approximate Base Acreage: This report estimates duplicate (overlapping applications)
acreage. Includes only those cases that do not have action code 896 - Conflict Identified.
Case Counts & Acres: This report lists the number of cases and total acres for all
pending and authorized solar energy cases.
Active Solar Cases: This report lists all the authorized solar cases.
