NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Associated Student Government of Cuyamaca College (ASGCC) will hold a Regular Meeting on February
26th, 2016. The meeting time and location are noted above. The ASGCC reserves the right to suspend the orders of the day if necessary to
conduct business. All ASGCC meetings are held in locations that are wheelchair accessible. Other disability-related accommodations will be
provided to persons with disabilities upon request. Persons requesting such accommodations should notify the ASG President at 619-660-4274
no less than 5 business days prior to the meeting. Please contact the ASG Secretary at 619-660-4273 for any agenda related questions.
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.5: supplemental materials distributed less than 72 hours before this meeting to a majority of the
ASGCC will be made available for public inspection at this meeting or at the ASGCC office by appointment during normal business hours.
Materials prepared by ASGCC members and distributed during the meeting are available for public inspection at the meeting or after the
meeting if prepared by a non-member. Documents related to closed session items or those that are exempt from disclosure as stated in the
California Public Records Act will not be made available for public inspection.

Quorum was established. The meeting was called to order at 12:36pm by President Mariah
Moschetti.

Approval of Minutes
ASGCC Regular Meeting Minutes from February 19th, 2016
• Approved
This time is reserved for members of the public to address the ASGCC with concern to any
agenda item or matter under the ASGCC’s jurisdiction. A time limit of three (3) minutes
per speaker and ten (10) minutes per topic shall be observed. The law does not permit
any action to be taken, nor extended discussion of any items not on the agenda. The
ASGCC may briefly respond to statements made or questions posed; however, for further
information, please contact the ASG Secretary for the item of discussion to be placed on a
future agenda.

1. The Foundation came and provided flyers that can be posted around the school and
businesses for the Alumni Fest.
Reports of Officers (3 minutes per officer)
A. Tommie Post, Activities Assistant- Attended the introduction of the
BSU and applauded the great speakers they had.
B. Niveen Almezory, Public Relations Assistant- Went to the Cultural
Competency program and attended the BSU event.
C. Onjoli Thomas Jones, Secretary- Attended Cultural Competency and
reminded everyone of the Post Modern Social Justice symposium taking
place on Saturday at SDSU.
D. Mawj Hasan, Club Coordinator- Also attended the Cultural Competency
Workshop
E. Senators, Manny Juarez, Alex Cintron, Julio Chavez, Donnel Endaya, Carol
Bianchi, Shams Judhi, Tanuja Adigpoula, James Miller
Manny- Would like to implement a pantry sign in sheet for the office and
a “Wall of Shame” for the person who leaves the most mess in the office.
Donnel- Noted that one of the Cultural Competency presenters wanted to
change the programs name to “Cultural Humility”
Tanuja- Feels that we can promote ASG better and is currently
formulating questions to gauge students awareness of student
government.
Carol- Attended the Region X meeting where she handed us goodies and
informed every one of the Idea 2 Innovate competition
F. Evan Esparza, Trustee- Last Saturday, GCCCD hosted a scholarship
recipient ceremony where $80,000 worth of scholarships were given out.
Also really enjoyed the BSU step team.
G. Andrew Watkins, Treasurer- There is currently $17,060 in the ASGCC
account.
H. Jesus Suarez, Evening Vice President- Congratulated Mariah for
acceptance letters and scholarships!
I. Davi Peterson, Executive Vice President- Congratulated Tommie for
receiving the Osher Scholarship!

J. Lauren Vaknin, ASG Advisor- Randy Clark will be at the next meeting to
discuss sustainability initiatives. ASGCC now has a mascot (Shams Judhi).
There was a great turn out for the Black History Month events.
K. Mariah Moschetti, President- March in March was canceled due to lack
of funds. Spring 2016 General Assembly will be held from April 29th to
May 1st. Thanked Carol for serving as delegate to Region X meeting.
Reports of Standing Committees
Davi Peterson, Policy and Procedures- There were revised senator policies
that will be on the agenda soon
Tommie Post, Activities- Women’s fair and women’s panel is occurring
soon. Will start preparing for Kudapaw and Relay for Life.
Jesus Suarez, Cross Cultural Center- Currently working on adding more
books to the library

1. Guest Speaker AAUW: American Association of University Womens- This
association provides scholarships, grants and fellowships for women. Anyone
can become a member. Announced that April 1st is the deadline to apply for
scholarships.

This time is reserved for the ASGCC to informally discuss any topics that do not appear
on the agenda and do not require action to be taken. A limit of five (5) minutes per
speaker and ten (10) minutes per topic shall be enforced. If any item needs further
discussion or action, please contact the ASG Secretary for the item to be placed on future
agendas.
Shams Judhi- Wants to start a club that focuses on sending money to families in
middle eastern country
Jesus Suarez- Gathering data to see if students would be receptive to the school
paying $800.00 to show the newest Star Wars

their website
