Student Network Account

STUDENT COMPUTER NETWORK ACCOUNT
Once you have registered and paid your student fees, it takes 24-48 hours for you to have your own
student computer network account, to access the network resources on campus only.
What you will get is:
20 MB's of space to save your documents on the campus network.
Logging into the network requires your Web Advisor user name and your 6 digit date of birth
User name: john.smith2357
Password: 051091
The default location of this space is: "User Name$ on 'coyote2' (H:)." For example, using the
User Name of " john.smith ," the default location of this space would be: john.smith$ on
'coyote2' (H:).
Students can save their documents on this space. They can retrieve their saved files at any
networked computer at Cuyamaca College. Once the semester is over, this network account
will be deleted and all the files on it will be erased.
While more than 200 word processing documents of normal file size can be saved on 20 MBs of
space, just a few graphic, music files or multimedia files can quickly consume 20 MB of disk
space.
Students, who need copies of their documents they saved on the College Network, should copy
their files to a removable drive (USB flash drive or memory stick) and or send via e-mail before
the current semester is over (We do not have CD burners).
An e-mail account with your own personal student e-mail address.
