COURSE DESCRIPTION: This short-format workshop provides exchange students with the basic contents needed to place Catalan language and culture in its historical, linguistic, cultural and national context. COURSE DESCRIPTION: This unit, together with a second unit “What Else Should I know about Catalan Culture?”, is aimed at students coming to UPF in September, who are interested in getting to know the basics of the Catalan language, culture and nation, in order to become familiar with and understand their new host country. Languages in which the course will be taught: English, Spanish and some Catalan. II. COURSE DESCRIPTION: This unit, together with the previous unit “A Quick Glance at Catalonia”, is aimed at students coming to UPF in September, who are interested in getting to know the basics of the Catalan language, culture and nation, in order to become familiar with and understand their new host country.
