The purpose is to update information for the Facilities Inventory and Maintenance Management System (FIMMS) database and Five-Year Deferred Maintenance Plan for fiscal years 2000 through 2004. /b/ Following a management decision to maintain several trails of historical significance, Arizona entered historical trails into FIMMS for the first time. This accounts for the 48 percent increase in miles of trails from 1998. /c/ Following an in-depth inventory of its trail system, Idaho entered historical and river trails into FIMMS for the first time. This accounts for the 128 percent increase in miles of trails from 1998. /d/ The 42 percent increase in number of buildings, 30 percent increase in miles of roads, and 48 percent increase in number of bridges for Western Oregon reflect existing structures that were added to the FIMMS as a result of re-inventory and condition assessment surveys in 1999.
