Nestucca Access Road Reopened at Mile Post 15
Salem, Ore—The Nestucca Access Road reopened yesterday, March 31. On March 24, an active
rock slide was reported to the Bureau of Land Management. Due to safety concerns caused by a
large undercut fir at the top of the slide and limited road available for vehicle traffic, BLM
closed the road at Mile Post 15, 1/2 mile east of the Elk Creek Bridge, and 0.2 miles east of Elk
Bend Campground. The road has been reopened to vehicle traffic.
