Wolf Creek Falls Trail Closure Extended
Through Summer
Roseburg, Ore. – The Bureau of Land Management, Roseburg District, will be extending a closure
of the Wolf Creek Falls Trail due to scheduled replacement of a bridge damaged earlier this year.
The Wolf Creek Falls Trailhead is accessed from Little River Road and is located at:
T. 27S, R. 02W, Section 9.
The bridge was damaged by a falling tree and was removed earlier this spring. A new bridge is
scheduled to be installed in late summer or early fall of 2016.
“At this time there is no public access to the Wolf Creek Falls and the BLM would encourage the
public to stay away from the location until the new bridge can be installed,” said Erik Taylor,
Supervisory Outdoor Recreation Planner for the Roseburg District. “We are working to get the new
bridge in as soon as planning and construction schedules will allow.”
For further information or questions about the closure, please contact Cheyne Rossbach, Public
Affairs Specialist at (541) 579-0648.
The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land, the most of any Federal agency. This
land, known as the National System of Public Lands, is primarily located in 12 Western states,
including Alaska. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate
throughout the nation. The BLM's mission is to manage and conserve the public lands for the use and
enjoyment of present and future generations under our mandate of multiple-use and sustained yield.
In Fiscal Year 2014, the BLM generated $5.2 billion in receipts from public lands.
