Eligibility Criteria
Recipients of awards are full-time college or
university students in either a graduate,
undergraduate, or 2 yr. degree program with
at least an overall GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Students should be enrolled in a program in
automation and control or a closely related
field.
Applicants must be a resident of Alaska,
Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington but
may study elsewhere. Preference is given to
students who are self-identified LGBTQ,
members of LGBTQ families, or straight
allies who have been strongly supportive of
the LGBTQ community. All scholarships
emphasize demonstrated commitment to
equality and civil rights for all people.
Graduates from Washington State public
high schools beginning their freshman year
of post-secondary education in the United

Any student who is currently attending a
college or university within Washington
State majoring in Mathematics Education
and pursuing teaching certification in order
to become a professional mathematics
educator (teaching mathematics at
