Student Instructions for
VoiceThread
Find the class assignment that you need to comment on.
Then click the assignment.
Find the assignment that you need to work on.
Depending on the instructor, you may have to look
through all the photos and titles to find the correct
assignment.
This is how the
assignment page will
look.
Over here will be the
instructor’s comment.
This could be a written
or video comment. A
voice comment would
begin playing as soon as
it started.
Now, it’s your turn to comment.
Comment Style 1: Written comment
Click the ABC button and then type your comment.
Your comment will be under the
instructor’s comment.
Comment Style 2: Voice Recording
Click the microphone button and begin speaking after the countdown.
Note: This will require the use of your microphone (most computers have one attached).
After you listen to your voice recording, you can either cancel it and start over or save it.
Comment Style 3: Video Recording
Click the video recorder button and begin to record your video.
Note: This will require the use of your video camera (most computers have one attached).
After you have recorded
your video, click stop
recording and either cancel
or save it.
This is where
your video
will be.
Comment Style 4: Upload
Click the upload button and upload a photo or document
to the VoiceThread.
Comment Style 5: Doodle
Click the pencil icon (while in either a video or voice recording session) and begin to doodle.
