Today’s Game
Both Liberty (13-6, 5-2 Big South) and Campbell (12-5, 4-2 Big South) will attempt to
bounce back from Thursday losses when they square off Saturday at the Vines Center.
Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. for the first of two meetings between the Lady Flames and Lady
Camels in the next two weeks.
The “Starting Five” - Today’s Top Storylines
1) Liberty lost 71-63 at home to High Point on Thursday, while Campbell dropped a 77-75
decision at Longwood on a last-second shot. The Lady Flames have not lost back-to-back
conference home games since dropping five Big South home contests in a row spanning
the 1994-95 and 1995-96 seasons.
4) Saturday’s game could see a lot of points scored, as Liberty and Campbell rank first
and second, respectively, in both points and field goal percentage. Last season, the Lady
Flames scored 90 points during their home victory over Campbell on Jan. 9, 2012. That
game also came on the heels of a home loss to High Point.
5) Campbell is shooting 40.4 percent from three-point range this season, ranking No. 4
nationally. Meanwhile, Liberty sits 48th in the nation for three-point field goal percentage
defense, holding opponents to 26.7 percent from beyond the arc.

• Liberty, which has only faced Campbell three times in Carey Green’s 14 years as head
coach, will now play the Camels twice in 13 days. After Saturday’s game, Liberty will play
at Campbell on Jan. 31.
• Both teams suffered their second Big South loss on Thursday, as Liberty lost to High
Point, 71-63, and Campbell dropped a 77-75 contest at Longwood.
• Saturday’s contest could see quite a few points scored. Liberty and Campbell rank first
and second, respectively, in the Big South for both points and field goal percentage. Last
season, the Lady Flames racked up 90 points during their home victory over the Camels.

• The Panthers scored the first seven points of the game and never trailed during the
contest.
• High Point became the first Big South team to defeat Liberty at the Vines Center in backto-back seasons since UNCG did so four straight times between 1993-94 and 1996-97.
• Liberty struggled shooting the ball from the field (31.7 percent) and three-point line (15.4
percent).
• However, the Lady Flames shot well at the foul line, making their first 19 attempts of the
game and finishing at 85.2 percent (23-of-27).
• For the 14th straight game, Liberty outrebounded its opponent (42-39) and kept its foe
below 50 percent field goal shooting (44.4 percent).
• Tolu Omotola led all players with 19 points, but Liberty dropped to 31-4 all-time when she
scores in double digits.
• Despite shooting just 2-of-17 from the floor, Devon Brown made 11-of-12 from the free
throw line during a 15-point evening. She also grabbed six rebounds, becoming the seventh Lady Flame ever to pull down 700 career boards.
• Reagan Miller scored a season-high 12 points, helping Liberty enjoy a 17-12 edge in
bench points. She also hit the Lady Flames’ only two three-pointers of the game.
• Liberty head coach Carey Green missed the first game of his 14-year coaching career
with the Lady Flames due to illness. Assistant coach Alexis Sherard assumed coaching
duties in his absence.
Fabulous at the Free Throw Line
Liberty struggled shooting the ball from the field during Thursday’s game against High
Point, but fared quite well from the free throw line. The Lady Flames made their first 19
foul shots of the night and ended up at 23 of 27 for 85.2 percent.
• For the season, Liberty is making 71.4 percent of its free throws, which is not far off of
the Lady Flames’ single-season record of 72.8 percent, set in 2007-08.
• Devon Brown, who hit 11 of her 12 charity tosses on Thursday, is shooting 83.5 percent
this season. That would rank her third in program history if the season ended today.
• Emily Frazier has made 13 consecutive free throws, while Brittany Campbell has hit
seven straight foul shots.
At Home on the Road?
Liberty has fared better in road games than at the Vines Center in recent weeks. The Lady
Flames have won six consecutive road contests by an average of 24.5 ppg. Meanwhile,
Liberty has dropped three of its last five home games.

since Megan Frazee grabbed 10 rebounds against Virginia Union on Nov. 18, 2005.
