1. Reuse Pathway: Additional Assessment Requirements
This assessment strategy has been designed specifically for the Reuse Pathway, appearing in the
following qualifications:




WAMITAB Level 2 Diploma in Sustainable Recycling Activities
WAMITAB Level 3 Diploma in Sustainable Recycling Activities (Supervisory)
WAMITAB Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Sustainable Resource Management
WAMITAB Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Sustainable Resource Management
Approved WAMITAB Centres can design and manage their own assessment programme for these
qualifications, providing that they maintain the quality systems and procedures required by
WAMITAB.
Candidates must provide evidence that successfully demonstrates the skills, knowledge and/or
understanding of all of the outcomes against the stated assessment criteria.
Centres who wish to offer the Reuse pathway from each of the knowledge component qualifications
will be required to complete a Scheme Approval (Form 0026 Application for Scheme Approval)
process prior to being approved to deliver.
WAMITAB have enforced this measure to ensure that Centre Assessors/Internal Verifiers hold the
necessary knowledge/competence to uphold the rigour of assessment required. As the Reuse
Pathway includes a considerable number of option units relating to the Retail Sector, WAMITAB
requires Centres to use Assessors/Internal Verifiers who hold relevant retail
experience/qualifications.
This will be reviewed on an individual basis by the EV assigned to the Centre as part of the Scheme
Approval Process. Centres will also be required to provide Assessor information to WAMITAB using
the AVR1 form.
This guidance is to be used in collaboration with the Energy and Utility Skills Final Assessment
Strategy for Vocational Qualifications and the Energy and Utility Skills Waste Sector Specific
Requirements to Final Generic Assessment Strategy. Both of these documents can be found on the
WAMITAB website: Centre Information
