The Work-based Assessment Programme
Validate Process
Stage 1: Complete an application
for the initial licence (renewal
annually). This will be reviewed
and approved by the Validate
Admin Team.
Stage 2: Once your application has
been processed, a Quality
Assurance and Induction (QAI)
review will be arranged to ensure
you meet the requirements and to
familiarise you with the Validate
materials.
Stage 4: You will receive your
Validate Toolkit (including clip
board, USB credit card flash drive
containing electronic copies of all
the Validate modules and the
Guide to Getting Started).
Stage 3: If you do not have
qualified assessors, you will be
offered the opportunity to attend
a one-day Assessor Development
Programme.
Stage 5: You are now ready to
start assessing learners against the
Validate modules using a
combination of Observation and
Question/Answer and noting
responses on the Candidate
Assessment Record.
Stage 6: Once the candidate(s)
have successfully completed their
assessment, you will be able to
submit a signed Validate

WAMITAB.
Stage 8: WAMITAB will work with
you to arrange annual External
Quality Assurance visits to monitor
the quality of the delivery and
management of Validate.
Stage 7: WAMITAB will produce
certificates (maximum of five
modules per certificate), which will
