How to Become a WAMITAB Parking Centre Flyer

I’m an employer and I would like to
deliver BPA-endorsed parking
qualifications for my staff.
I’m a training provider and I would
like to add professional parking
qualifications to my service offer.
How to become an Approved Centre for BPA-WAMITAB parking qualifications
The BPA-WAMITAB suite of parking qualifications:
•
•
WAMITAB Level 2 Award for Parking Enforcement Officers
WAMITAB Level 3 Award in Notice Processing
These qualifications are currently offered by private training providers delivering to clients, as well as employers
delivering directly to their own staff.
WAMITAB is always looking to strengthen the network of centres offering our qualifications and the opportunity to
become a centre is open to both training providers and employers across the UK who meet the minimum requirements.
The specific requirements will vary dependent on which qualifications you wish to offer.
Level 2 Award for Parking Enforcement Officers: learners are assessed by Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) tests set
by WAMITAB. Centres offering this qualification will not need to retain assessors and internal quality assurers for the
assessment of this qualification. They will, however, need to comply with WAMITAB regulations for the delivery of
the MCQ tests and make provisions for independent invigilators, who have not been involved in the training or
tutoring of the learners, to be present during each testing session.
Level 3 Award in Notice Processing: approved WAMITAB Centres can design and manage their own assessment
programme, providing that they maintain the quality systems and procedures required by WAMITAB. The
assessment or marking of candidate output must be undertaken by suitably qualified and competent
assessors/markers, who are not the tutors or the individuals responsible for delivering learning material to the
candidate being assessed. In addition, centres will need suitably qualified staff to undertake internal quality
assurance. WAMITAB will appoint an External Quality Assurer (EQA) to sample assessments to ensure consistency of
assessment and proper application of the assessment requirements.
We have a simple approval process for those organisations interested in joining the centre network. This process has
been designed to meet our regulatory requirements as an awarding organisation whilst ensuring that the process is as
streamlined as possible for all potential Centres.
Some key benefits of being part of our approved network are:
•
•
•
•
Access to 25 years of experience in developing and quality assuring qualifications, training and course materials
Competitive candidate registration fees
Access to a comprehensive online resource centre
Telephone and email support from a dedicated team
An overview of how to become an approved WAMITAB centre is shown overleaf and full details, along with an
application form, can be found on the WAMITAB website: www.wamitab.org.uk.
Complete Centre Application Form
This covers the minimum requirements to become a Centre
and also asks for information which we will use to understand
your ambition and objectives. This will help us to develop the
right support for you to achieve an increase in sales.
Review of New Centre Application Form
The initial documentation is reviewed by our Quality Manager
and Commercial Director.
External Quality Assurance (EQA)
Once the application has been reviewed, we will assign an
EQA. He/she will be in touch to organise a Centre Approval
Visit at a mutually convenient time. You can prepare for this
visit by completing the Self Assessment Checklist.
Service Level Agreement
Once you have been approved by the EQA a Service Level
Agreement will be issued. You will need to sign this and return
it to WAMITAB.
Approval
WAMITAB will then send a letter of approval and Approved
Centre certificate. At this stage centres will be able to register
learners and apply for certification of learners.
