The contest marks the first-ever meeting between the Flames and the Hoyas and will be broadcast LIVE on MASN and ESPN3. Liberty is seeking its first-ever win over a BIG EAST squad, currently holding a 0-8 mark against the conference’s schools.Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. What to Watch for - Liberty is currently missing three of its primary post players – Antwan Burrus, Tomasz Gielo and Joel Vander Pol. In the meantime, forwards Sommy Ogukwe, JR Coronado and Andrew Smith are being asked to carry the load inside. The trio accounts for 44 percent of Liberty’s rebounding (28-of-64). - John Caleb Sanders is looking to bounce back from a tough start behind the arc. Last season, Sanders paced the Flames with seven three-point field goals after the first two games. This year, he is 1-of-6 from downtown. Sanders is known for stepping up in big games, posting 18 points against Texas A&M during the 2K Sports Classic Benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer, last season. - Liberty is getting some support off the bench from a few surprising faces. Andrew Smith stepped up on Monday, grabbing a career-high eight rebounds. Walk-on Casey Roberts also chipped in 11 points, which included a pair of back-to-back three-pointers. - After a tough start at Richmond, Tavares Speaks rebounded against William & Mary on Monday, pacing the Flames with 15 tallies. A senior, Speaks displayed on-court leadership against the Tribe and will look to do the same against the Hoyas. - Turnovers were once again an issue for the Flames on Monday, as they committed 17 Liberty is averaging 17.5 turnovers while forcing 12 miscues.
