The structure was determined from the rotationally resolved IR photodissociation spectrum
in the vicinity of the N–H fundamentals (ν1 and ν3). The structure has a quasilinear H-bound
geometry in the 3Σ− electronic ground state. The geometry of the aminylium subunit was
assumed to be unchanged upon complexation.
