PRESENTED KIWANIS
SCHOLAR ATHLETE AWARD
Seniors Celeste Ekman and CJ Murrillo have been selected by the
Kiwanis Club of Ventura as the winners of the 2016 Kiwanis Scholar Athlete Award. The award is given annually to the senior athlete who excels
not only on the athletic field but also in the classroom and in community
service. Celeste is a 4 year starter on the CIF Champion softball team as
well as starting on the Varsity Volleyball team. CJ is a member of the
Seraph Football and Track and Field teams. Both are active in their
service community as well as maintaining a GPA over 3.0. The awards
were presented to the Athletes at a dinner on May 17th. The athletes
received individual plaques with the school receiving a perpetual trophy
with their names that is on display in the Seraph Athletic Center.
