Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning Overview
Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning provides provisioning for Cisco Unified Communications initial
deployments and implementations. It remains deployed to provide ongoing operational provisioning and
activation services for individual subscriber changes.

New Features and Changed Features
Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning 11.2 supports the following new features.
Provisioning SMTP Notification Devices
Enables you to provision SMTP Notification devices for new and existing voicemail users. It also enables
you to add, change, and delete notification settings from Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning itself through
batch provisioning, and the user interface. For more information, see Configuring and Provisioning Notification
Devices section.
Keyword Support for Voicemail Notification
Enables you to set keywords in the service template for voicemail notification settings to provide a consistent
text message format. Keywords are supported for the following attributes:
• Display Name
• To
• From
• Message Header

• Message Footer

Service Template Attribute Support Enhancement for Extension Mobility Access
The existing Service Template feature now supports the following attributes for Extension Mobility Access:
• Endpoint Model
• Protocol
• Phone Button Template
You can add or change the service template for EM Access through batch, and the user interface. This is
supported for Cisco Unified Communications Manager 9.x and later. For more information, see Adding User
Roles section.
Transformation Template Enhancement
You can include transformation templates that perform transformation masking on a directory number for
keyword supported attributes. You can also provision services with attribute values containing leading sequence
and trailing sequence of the respective keyword value. For more information, see Configuring a Transformation
Template for Provisioning Attributes section.
Write Primary DN to LDAP
You can write the Primary DN chosen from Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning back to the LDAP server,
thus reducing the manual update of the AD fields and masking of DNs. For more information, see Write
Primary DN to LDAP section.
Advanced Query Functionality for Automatic Service Provisioning
You can use the advanced query functionality in Automatic Service Provisioning to choose the Service Area
to provision the user services in and also for the User Role so that users coming in can be assigned to a
particular user role. For more information, see Configuring LDAP Server Synchronization section.
Support for Serviceability Settings on Cisco Unified CM through Batch
Enables an administrator to activate or deactivate the serviceability setting through the change functionality
of batch for Cisco Unified CM 10.5.1 and later. Thus you can batch provision all of Cisco Unified
Communication Manager's serviceability settings.

Support for Service Activation on Cisco IM&P through Batch
Enables an administrator to activate or deactivate the serviceability settings for the following services through
the change functionality of batch for Cisco Unified CM 10.5.1 and later:
• Cisco AXL Web Service
• Cisco SIP Proxy
• Cisco Presence Engine

Support for Cisco Unified CM Service Parameters through Batch Provisioning
Supports the following Cisco Unified Communications Manager service parameters through the change
functionality of batch provisioning:
• Call Diagnostics Enabled
• CDR Enabled Flag
• Maximum MeetMe Conference Unicast
• Join Across Line Policy
• Default Interregion Max Audio Bit Rate
• Default Intraregion Max Video Call Bit Rate (Includes Audio)
• Default Interregion Max Video Call Bit Rate (Includes Audio)
• Automated Alternate Routing Enable
• Matching Caller ID with Remote Destination
• Number of Digits for Caller ID Partial Match

Support for Enterprise Phone Configuration through Batch Provisioning
You can configure parameters that apply to all phones that support the following:
• Cisco camera
• RTCP
This is supported for Cisco Unified Communications Manager 10.5.1 and later.

Support for Enterprise Parameters through Batch Provisioning
You can provide default settings that apply to all devices and services in the same cluster. When you install
a new Cisco Unified Communications Manager, it uses the enterprise parameters to set the initial values of
its device defaults. This is supported for Cisco Unified Communications Manager 10.5.1 and later. The
following enterprise parameters are supported through the change functionality of batch provisioning:
• Cluster ID
• URI Lookup Policy
• Show Ring Settings
• Show Line Label Settings

• Organization Top Level Domain
• Cluster Fully Qualified Domain Name

• Directory URI Alias Partition (To be supported from Cisco Unified CM 11.5 and later)

Support for BLF SD and BLF Directed Call Park - Enhancements
Support for the Busy Lamp Field (BLF) Directed Call Park set-only attribute as a fully managed attribute.
Support for the BLF Speed Dial (SD) attribute for EM Access. Support for the BLF Directed Call Park attribute
for EM Access and endpoints.

Increase in Infrastructure Object Support
You can configure the following Infrastructure objects from the provisioning user interface and using batch
provisioning:
• Called Party Transformation Pattern
• Calling Party Transformation Pattern

• Intercom Translation Pattern
• Recording Profile

Install Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning Software Updates from the User Interface
You can upload, install, and uninstall service packs and software update patches from the Cisco Prime

Support for LDAP Servers
Two types of LDAP servers are supported from this release:
• Oracle Directory Server
• OpenLDAP

Note
These LDAP servers are not supported for Getting Started Wizard.
Support of Microsoft Office 365 Server
Support of Microsoft Office 365 Server to enable Unified Messaging Service (UMS) to the user. This feature
also enables creation of mail box in Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Server from Cisco Prime Collaboration
Provisioning. UMS integrates voice messaging with email account, letting you store voice messages in your
mailbox along with your email.
General
• Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning 11.2 supports Cisco UC 11.5 devices.
• The following LDAP attributes are not supported in the domain user interface for openLDAP and Oracle
directory server:
• msRTCSIP-primaryuseraddress
• userPrincipalName
• ipPhone number
• middlename
• The supported devices for this release are listed in the Supported Devices for Cisco Prime Collaboration
Provisioning 11.2 document.
• The supported browser versions are listed in the Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning 11.x Install
and Upgrade Guide.
• Known Device Issues:
• All partition values in Cisco Unity Connection are not displayed in Cisco Prime Collaboration
Provisioning when a service template is created or a voicemail is ordered.
• Test Connection and Infrastructure Synchronization are successful after adding a Cisco Unified
CM using incorrect credentials.

Using the Bug Search Tool
Use the Bug Search tool to search for a specific bug or to search for all bugs in a release.
1 Go to http://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch
2 At the Log In screen, enter your registered Cisco.com username and password; then, click Log In. The
Bug Search page opens.
Note
If you do not have a Cisco.com username and password, you can register for them at
http://tools.cisco.com/RPF/register/register.do
3 To search for a specific bug, enter the bug ID in the Search For field and press Return.
4 To search for bugs in the current release:
1 In the Search For field, enter Prime Collaboration 11.2 and press Return. (Leave the other fields
empty.)
2 When the search results are displayed, use the filter tools to find the types of bugs you are looking for.
You can search for bugs by modified date, status, severity, and so forth.
Tip
To export the results to a spreadsheet, click the Export All to Spreadsheet link.
