Chat Transcript Download
SocialMiner Release 10.5(1) provides a chat transcript download option. On the customer side of the chat
user interface, when the customer clicks End to end the chat, an option to download the chat transcript as a
PDF appears. If the agent ends the chat and the customer is alone in the chat room, the option also appears.
The customer can click Yes to download the transcript or No to cancel the download.
Two new REST APIs have been implemented that can be used to download the chat transcript while the chat
session is in progress. The transcripts can be downloaded in XML or PDF format. For more information about
these APIs, see the SocialMiner Developer Guide, Release 10.5(1), which is available on Cisco Devnet:
https://developer.cisco.com/site/collaboration/contact-center/socialminer/documentation/

Search for Contact by Contact ID
SocialMiner Release 10.5(1) introduces the ability to search for a social contact using the contact ID.
The Social Contact GET Transcript API now returns an <id> field in response payload. This field contains
the ID of the chat contact to which the transcript belongs. You can use the contact ID to search for the contact
using the Search API or the SocialMiner user interface.
The field name for the contact ID is de.id. The value for de.id is upper case and case-sensitive.
Default to SSL for External Server Configurations
The SocialMiner administration interface now defaults to SSL for external server configurations. The
Administration tab in the SocialMiner user interface contains the following changes:
• System Administration panel:
◦Active Directory: The Use SSL check box is now checked by default.
◦Mail Notification Server: The Use SSL/TLS check box is now checked by default. The default
Mail Server Port is 465.
The changes to these settings apply only to fresh installations of SocialMiner or upgrades if the settings
were not previously configured. If you upgrade from a previous release, the settings you have already
configured are preserved.
• Manage Notifications panel:
◦HTTP notifications: When you add a new HTTP notification, the Verify SSL certificates check
box is now checked by default.
These changes apply only to new notifications. If you upgrade from a previous release, any notification
settings you have previously configured are preserved.
Serviceability API Additions
The Serviceability API parameter serviceStates now includes the state of the ActiveMQ JMS server.
