Cisco eXtensible Network Controller: Take Advantage of Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
Part of the Cisco® Open Network Environment (ONE) framework, Cisco eXtensible Network Controller (XNC) is a network and
fabric controller. It allows applications to harvest information from network devices and to program those network devices using
a variety of APIs, including OpenFlow and Cisco ONE Platform Kit (onePK™). Unlike other OpenFlow controllers, Cisco XNC also
provides role-based access control, troubleshooting support, topology-independent forwarding, the ability to inject synthesized
traffic, and tracerouting.

Cisco Threat Defense: Protect Against Threats that Mobile Devices Can Introduce
The Cisco Threat Defense solution provides visibility into threats that often remain hidden, including network reconnaissance,
malware proliferation, command and control traffic, and data exfiltration. To identify these threats, the solution identifies
suspicious traffic patterns in the network. It also provides the context of the attack, helping your security analyst identify the
targets, assess damage, and determine the best response. Solution components include Cisco network devices, which export
NetFlow information; software from Lancope, a Cisco partner, to analyze the NetFlow information; and Cisco Identity Services
Engine to discover the intent and severity of the threat.
