Will Call Information and Location
The will call window will be open one hour before game time. The window is located at the
front gate (gate 1) of Liberty Baseball Stadium.
Participant Seating
Non-playing teams will be provided a credential to sit in the stadium during games that they are
not participating in.
Laundry Services
Laundry service provided by the Liberty Athletics Equipment Department is available for $50.00
per load. This must be set up through Chris Dunfee or Reese Braband at (434) 582-2052 prior to
the start of the Championship.
Umpire Crew
There will be a three-person crew for all games with the exception of the Championship game,
which shall have a four-person crew.
Hospitality Information
The VIP/Media Hospitality room is located in the Club Room on the second floor of the Liberty
Baseball Stadium down the first base line. This room has been sponsored by Astroturf.
Credentials are needed to gain access to this room. The room will open 30 minutes prior to the
first game of the day and stay open until midway through the last game of the day.
Locker Rooms
Locker rooms will be provided for teams upon request on their last game. The locker room will
be in the wrestling locker room on the south end of Williams Stadium. The wrestling team
locker room is accessible through the Luurtsema Parking Lot/Williams Stadium gate. Teams
must notify Scott Miller at (281) 796-7528 , if locker rooms are needed.
Get-Away Meals
Subway will provide a meal for teams as they are eliminated from the Championship at no
charge to the team. The meals will be delivered to the team bus prior to departure.
Training Room Information
The athletic training room is located on the lower level of the Liberty Baseball Stadium (behind
the third base dugout). The athletic training room is open to your team one hour prior to your
batting practice and after the game by appointment only. Please contact the baseball athletic
trainer with any questions or requests. See Appendix A for more information. Contact
information is below.

Radio Information
Two radio booths are located in the Liberty Baseball Stadium Press Box on the second floor
above home plate. Phone line, ethernet line and power will be provided.
Game Cancellation
The Games Committee will be the only authority to determine whether games during the Big
South Conference Championship may be cancelled.
Reserved Parking
VIP Reserved Parking will be available at the Williams Stadium Football Operations Center. To
access the parking lot, take a left on Marie Green Drive, next to the Liberty Baseball Stadium
and turn left in to the parking lot at the top of the hill. Please look for directional signs.
Courtesy Cars
Each team will receive a full-size rental car. The car will be delivered during the assigned
practice time and Liberty will handle returning the cars as teams are eliminated.
Practice/Day Before Schedule
Please contact Dawn Turner with the Big South Conference to coordinate practice and arrival times
during the course of the Big South Conference Tournament. Teams shall be allowed a practice time of
no longer than 60 minutes the day prior to the Tournament.

Medical Area and Treatment
Liberty University’s Sports Medicine Staff will be available to assistant all Big South Teams throughout
the championships. All physicians will be on-call and during normal business hours on-campus general
medical evaluation as well as x-rays will be available. EMS will also be on-call throughout the weekend.
We ask all schools to bring athletic training personnel to provide coverage for their team members.
However, if your team is traveling without an ATC, we request a written authorization from an ATC for
detailed treatment plan regarding any tape and/or modality use. Also, when available we ask that
supplies needed for treatment be sent as well.
Training room facilities will be made available for teams as necessary upon request. Please provide
sufficient notice of the need for a training room facility to allow arrangements to be made.

If there is a need to handle any problem outside the facility, your team will be responsible for
transportation to the medical facility unless EMS is called. If EMS is called, it is strongly advised that the
participating team sends a representative from their staff along.

Emergency Procedure
Emergency Personnel
Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC) and athletic training students on-site for practices and competitions.
Emergency Communication
ATCs carry cellular telephones. In the event of an emergency or the need for assistance, please contact
the personnel identified above using the provided phone and email contact information.
Emergency Equipment
Vacuum splints, crutches, AED, and blood borne pathogen supplies are available on the sideline during
competition and practice.
Roles of First Responders
1) Immediate care of the injured or ill student- athlete
2) Activation of emergency medical system (EMS)
• Cell phone: 911 (provide name, address, telephone number; number of individuals injured; condition
of injured; first aid treatment; specific directions; other information as needed) * If a cell phone is used;
immediately notify LUPD at (434) 582-3911
• Land line: 3911 - you will be connected to LUPD (provide the same information as above)
3) Emergency equipment retrieval
4) Direction of EMS to scene (Osborne Stadium- Williams Stadium Dr.)

Venue Directions
The primary entrance for this location for visiting teams in through the right field corner of the stadium.
From University Blvd, turn right onto Evans Blvd and proceed past Marie Green Dr. (on the left).
Immediately past Marie Green drive a parking lot is located on the left (directly across Evans Blvd. from
LUPD). The right field entrance to the field is located is accessible from this parking lot.
Lightning Policy
Chain of Command
The responsibility for terminating an athletic activity in the event of lightning, severe weather, and/or
storms lies with the LU certified athletic trainer (practices) and/or the Big South Game Committee
(games).

A LU certified athletic trainer will communicate with the LU Game Administrator, the head
coach and/or his/her designee, and game official(s)/umpire(s) of the potential for a lighting
strike, severe weather, and/or storm, and will make the recommendation that all activities stop
immediately.
If the head coach is not present, an assistant coach will assume responsibility.
If a coach and/or game official(s)/umpire(s) make the decision to continue to practice and/or
continue with a game or other activity despite a National Weather Service Severe Weather
Warning, the cancellation of classes, and/or the verbal instruction by a LU certified athletic
trainer or LU Game Administrator, they will be doing so against the recommendations of the LU
Athletics Department, and will be personally liable for any and all injuries.

Lightning / Severe Weather Statement To Be Read at Outside Events
Liberty Baseball Stadium –
In the event of lightning, thunder, or other severe weather, it is the policy of the LU Athletics
Department that all spectators immediately evacuate the grandstand and bleacher areas. It is advised
that spectators evacuate to hard-topped vehicles until it has been determined that it is safe to return to
the grandstand and bleacher areas.
