3. Do ACT scores and High School GPAs predict college success?
Exam
The exam is Friday evening, May 14, at 6:30 PM. It is scheduled for three hours but you may take all the time you
need. I intend that it can be comfortably completed in less than three hours. For part of the exam you may use R.
You can do that in the lab but you may bring your own computer. The exam will have three parts.
1. Questions reviewing the material of tests I-V. While the questions will be different, if you understand the concepts
tested on those tests you will do well on this part of the test.
2. Questions on the material since the last test. This includes the material beginning with the outline of April 22
(outline 42). You will do will on this part if you understand what the linear model is, the variations of it that we
studied, and what the output of a regression (lm() etc.) tells you.
3. There will be a few data analysis problems. You will only be able to use the computer for this part but this part
will be open everything.
