Mitch DeKoven
Mitch DeKoven is the Director, Health Economics and Outcomes
Research at IMS Health. Mr. DeKoven leads teams in a variety of
pricing and market access projects, including payer and provider
market research, retrospective database studies and models, and
comparative effectiveness assessments. He is also instrumental in
health economics and outcomes research new business development
efforts. Mr. DeKoven was an associate director of reimbursement and
market access at ValueMedics Research LLC, which IMS Health
acquired in March 2007. Prior to joining ValueMedics, he was
manager of reimbursement services at United BioSource
Corporation’s Center for Pricing & Reimbursement. Before that, he
was a consultant with CHPS Consulting, now Navigant Consulting.
Previous to his experience at CHPS, Mr. DeKoven was the program
manager of the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s
National Medical Center in Washington, DC, a position he held after
completing a two-year administrative fellowship with the Johns
Hopkins Health System. Mr. DeKoven earned his Masters of Health
Services Administration from the University of Michigan School of
Public Health and his Bachelor of Arts. in Spanish from Washington
University in St. Louis.
Sarah Donovan
Sarah B. Donovan is a Senior Associate at Avalere Health. Ms. Donovan
provides clients with research, analytic, and project management support
on evidence-based medicine and healthcare quality improvement issues.
Prior to joining Avalere, Ms. Donovan worked as a paralegal focusing on
products liability and mass tort litigation at the law firms of Goodell,
DeVries, Leech & Dann and McGuireWoods LLP. Sarah has also previously
worked for the Brookings Institution Judicial Education Program, a nonprofit dedicated to providing educational programs to state and federal
court judges. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of
Richmond, and a Master of Health Science in Health Policy from Johns
Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Sean Hartzell
Sean Hartzell is a Senior Manager in ECG Management Consultants,
Inc.’s Healthcare practice. Mr. Hartzell is a member of the firm’s
transaction service line and has a broad range of experience with
hospital/physician acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic planning, and
financial analysis. Prior to joining ECG, Mr. Hartzell worked for Inova
Health System as a Director of Operations and New Business
Development. In this role, he helped establish ambulatory surgery
center joint ventures and was part of the leadership team that
integrated new hospitals into the system. Mr. Hartzell began his
career at Inova as the Director of Finance responsible for developing
the annual system capital and operating plans. Mr. Hartzell holds a
Master of Business Administration degree from the Darden Graduate
School of Business at the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of
Science degree in operations research and industrial engineering from
Cornell University.
Jeremy Wong
Jeremy Wong is a Consultant for Adventist Healthcare. Mr. Wong
supports Adventist HealthCare's Ambulatory Care EMR Support
(ACES) Program, – a strategic project that will expand Adventist
HealthCare’s integration of patient care and provide coordinated care
throughout the health system by supporting EHR selection and
implementation for Adventist HealthCare's affiliated physician
community. In this role, Mr. Wong is responsible for leading physician
communication strategy, EHR vendor relationship management, and
ensuring HIE connectivity. Prior to joining Adventist Healthcare, Mr.
Wong worked as a Consultant for Clinovations where he provided
research, analysis, and project management support to public and
private sector clients. Mr. Wong has prior experience including health
IT non-profits, life science practice consulting, and healthcare
advertising. Mr. Wong holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Economics from Carnegie Mellon University.
