Explanation Of the Banknote Design:
In the front size, I have used the view of Victoria Harbour as the main
object. It is because I think Victoria Harbour plays a essential role in the
prosperous Hong Kong. Firstly, Hong Kong is an successful entrepot in the
world, one of the main elements is that Hong Kong has a deep and broad
harbour, Victoria Harbour. Secondly, Victoria Harbour is a famous tourist
destination which has attracted a lot of tourists travel Hong Kong. They
like to go to Sham Sha Tsui and appreciate the fantastic sea view of
Victoria Harbour. In conclusion, Victoria harbour is the important symbol
of Hong Kong that we cannot without it. Therefore I decided to put the
picture of Victoria Harbour as the main focus of the banknote’s front side
In the back of the banknote, I have showed several famous destinations in
Hong Kong. They are the Big Buddha, Bauhinia Square and the Hong Kong
Disney Land. That can increase the impression of the tourists about the
Hong Kong when they use this banknote. Furthermore, in the banknote,
there also has a scene of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
It is because there always have businessmen or investors come to the
exhibitions held in it to interchange and have sharing about their points of
view on the financial affairs. It is a symbol of the status of Hong Kong in
the world, an International Financial Centre. In additional, the national flag
of PRC and region flag of Hong Kong has also represent the familiar
relationship between them.
Lastly, if you observe the banknote carefully, you will find that there has a
semi-transparent bauhinia on the both sides of the banknote respectively.
It is used to distinguish whether the banknote is a artificial one or not.
