Below is an updated announcement for the Strategic Plan III Open forums. The committee has added two new open forums. The intent of these new forums is to encourage the participation and input of classified and professional staff, instructors, research assistants, and other groups that do not identify with one of the other forum groups. Please note that each forum will be centered on the same central theme of how we can improve the University and what is needed to achieve these improvements. Announcement of Strategic Plan III Open Forums The University is in the process of revising its Strategic Plan. As part of these efforts, the SP3.0 Steering Committee is seeking University‐wide input that will be used to assess progress toward achieving the goals of the Strategic Plan Phase II, and to update initiatives that will guide investments in support of the three signature areas of distinction. The Steering Committee will be hosting 9 forums in May and early June, one for each division and three additional forums organized around engagement and outreach, teaching and learning, and discovery and research. The dates, times and locations of each forum are listed below. Before attending these forums individuals are encouraged to review the Strategic Plan Phase II 2009‐2013, the charge and scope for Strategic Plan III, and the starting points listed below. Please note that each of these forums will be centered on the same central theme of how we can improve the University and what we need do achieve these improvements. These forums have been organized around groups to encourage participation among a variety of areas. However, each forum is open to all of the University community; therefore, if you cannot make a forum related to your area of interest, please try to make one of the other forums.
