IFS PRESENTATION WHAT IS AN UPGRADE? Establishing a database and solution that is based an a newer version of IFS Applications than the one currently used by customer Database upgrade Lift customizations and Interfaces IFS UPGRADE METHOD By the term “Database Upgrade” we understand the process of making a copy of the existing database an object transformed by Upgrade scripts and other relevant processes to achieve a database working with a new version og IFS Applications The term Lift Customizations and Interfaces is reflecting the process of bringing existing ones to the new version. The term New Installation refers to implementing an empty database on the new version and migrating required data into this 2 © 2009 IFS © 2009 IFS UPGRADE PROCESS IFS UPGRADE METHODOLOGY BPM Specify Solution Initiate project Upgrade Solution Verify Solution Go Live Initiate project Define, plan and establish the project. Bibehåller all data. THIS DOCUMENT MAY CONTAIN STATEMENTS OF POSSIBLE FUTURE FUNCTIONALITY FOR IFS’S SOFTWARE PRODUCTS AND TECHNOLOGY.
