Monitoring the Interface Cards in the Cisco cBR Chassis Monitoring the Interface Card in the Cisco cBR Chassis 2 Monitoring the Interface Cards in the Cisco cBR Chassis using LEDs 2 Monitoring the Downstream PHY Module 2 Revised: January 31, 2017, Monitoring the Interface Card in the Cisco cBR Chassis Monitoring the Interface Cards in the Cisco cBR Chassis using LEDs The LEDs on the interface cards (that is, interface line cards, the RF Through PIC and the RF Protect PIC) are the same. Table 1: Verifying the LEDs on the Interface Cards LED Status Description STATUS Off The line card has not initialized correctly. Yellow The line card has initialized, but HA fault is detected. Possible hardware fault. PROTECT REPLACE Green The line card is operational. Off The Interface line card is not a Protect card. Blue The Interface line card is configured as a Protect card. Green The Protect card is operational and traffic is flowing. Off The Interface line card is operational and does not require replacement. White The Interface line card requires replacement. Monitoring the Downstream PHY Module To display the OBFL for downstream PHY module events, use the show logging onboard slot message command. Router# show logging onboard slot 1 message | include DS-PHY 01/11/14 23:06:32 DS-PHY 0 G2P1E000039 Gemini 0 Set 1.0V_FPGA Max15301 Major Low To display the system logs for downstream PHY module events, use the show logging | in DS-PHY command. Router# show logging | include DS-PHY 2 Verifying the Downstream PHY Module Upgrade To verify the downstream PHY module is upgraded from Downstream D3.0 to Downstream D3.1, use the show inventory command. This extract of the output of the show inventory command: Router#show inventory NAME: "Cable PHY Module", DESCR: PID: CBR-D31-DS-MOD , VID: V01 , NAME: "Cable PHY Module", DESCR: PID: CBR-D31-DS-MOD , VID: V01 , "CLC Downstream PHY Module 2/0" SN: CAT1829E06B "CLC Downstream PHY Module 2/0" SN: CAT1829E08B The downstream D3.0 module is indicated by the PID, CBR-D30-DS-MOD. The downstream D3.1 module is indicated by the PID, CBR-D31-DS-MOD. To verify the downstream PHY module is powered up, use the show cable card ds-phy display | include PowerGood command. Router#show cable card 3/0 ds-phy display | include PowerGood Serial Number: G2P1E000009 HW VERSION 9. ds_phy_ctrl_status: 55f PowerGood: 400 Serial Number: HW VERSION 0. ds_phy_ctrl_status: 55f PowerGood: 0 Router# The following indicate the downstream PHY module version and power-up status: • The serial number shows the version of the downstream PHY module. G2 in the Serial Number indicates downstream D3.1 module. • The PowerGood value indicates if the downstream PHY module is powered up after the reload. This values should be non-zero to indicate that the downstream PHY module is properly powered up. See Troubleshooting the Interface Cards in Cisco cBR Chassis for details on PowerGood indications. 3 © 2017 Cisco Systems, Inc. All rights reserved. Americas Headquarters Cisco Systems, Inc.
