Invitation to Östergötland –China Jiangsu CleanTech
Cooperation Seminar on 27th September 2011
China is now the 3rd most important Country for Swedish CleanTech Exports, and is
transforming from export-oriented to import-oriented country. The successful
Economic Development Zones in China are the driving forces for Chinese regions and
cities in New Industry Clusters, Eco-City Development and ventures for Hi-Techs and
CleanTech (like Mjärdevi Science Park in Linkoping).
Jiangsu Province (having 11% of Chinese Economy with only 1% of China’s land and
78 million inhabitants, sister province of Ostergotland, premier Location for
Swedish companies with 1st and 1/4 of the Swedish investments), is now the leading
region in new energy and applications for Environmental Technologies e.g. 40% of
world photovoltaic solar module outputs and an on-going Sino-Swedish eco-city
cooperation project in Wuxi, Jiangsu.
Ostergotland has developed sister relation and close partnership with Jiangsu Province
since 1996, two provincial governments took initiatives to promote bilateral
exchanges and cooperations between two regions.
Länsstyrelsen Östergötland, Cleantech Östergötland, and Jiangsu Economic &
Trade Office in Sweden invite you to take opportunity in Linkoping to meet a
delegation of 12 officials and decision makers from the leading Economic Zones of
Jiangsu to gain the opportunity to present your environmental technologies, new
energy solutions and Eco-planning and/or mutual investment projects to gain further
business into China.
The delegation members are looking for Swedish cleantech companies, venture
capital , new energy companies and interested in developing new Eco-city Zones.
