Wireless Connectivity Issues – Workaround
Symptom:
Apple device connected to MyWiFi@SCC but does not indicate a valid connection –
No “IPv4 Address” in the Wi-Fi GUI
Exclamation point in the wireless connection icon in the Status Menu on the Menu Bar
Bradford registration page does not render
ifconfig shows a valid registration vlan IP address – e.g.: 10.10.20.xxx
Workaround:
Open the Wi-Fi properties and in the Advanced configuration under TCP/IP locate a setting called:
“DHCP Client ID:”
Enter any 6 digit value and click OK
