ITH Curriculum for 2015 Academic Year
To earn the B.Sc. in International Tourism and Hospitality Management degree, students must follow these rules:

Fulfill the credit requirements for graduation.
Students are encouraged to take courses to a total of 18 credits from one of the two concentrations (Tourism
Management or Hospitality Management).
Students are encouraged to take a total of 18 elective credits from either the practical (courses designed to
prepare students for going directly to the job market after graduation) or the academic track (courses designed
to be beneficial to students who are interested in academic research and aim at pursuing further education
after graduation).
Students who are on the practical track shall take at least one off-campus internship under the category of
departmental electives.
Students must fulfill the minimum English proficiency level and International Studies requirement stipulated
by the ITH department.

at www.icith.isu.edu.tw.

department elective credits)
A. Academic Courses: 18 credits: Take 18 credits out of 82 credits.
B. Practical Courses: 18credits: Take 18 credits out of 57 credits; at least 9 credits of off-campus internship.
If students take more than 18 credits in one concentration, the surplus credits can be used as other elective credits.
Also, if students take courses from the other concentration, these credits will be used as other elective credits as
well. With the permission of the department Students may take up to 18 credits from other departments in IC.
Students may take in excess of 18 credits but the excess will not be counted towards meeting degree requirements.
