A bold new image, reflective of the dynamic, student-centered focus of Scottsdale Community College was unveiled at the college’s 35th Anniversary Celebration on November 16, 2005. Two “C’s,” representing the community and the college, are intertwined to form a progressive and powerful “S,” illustrating the student-centered approach to teaching and learning and symbolic of the city in which we reside. The green and gold chosen for the design integrate tradition with modernity. By selecting a deep green, Scottsdale Community College remains true to both its heritage with “Artie” the artichoke and with the environment it calls home. The earthy gold reflects both the landscape and the rich educational offerings at SCC. SCC’s official color palette is: Pantone 357 (green), Pantone 1245 (gold).
