Regulations for Application for Grade Review by Students and Change in Grade by Teachers at I-Shou University Adopted by March 27, 1995 at the 3rd meeting of University Academic Council at the 2nd semester of the academic year 1994 Adopted by August 17, 2001 at the 1st meeting of University Academic Council at the 1st semester of the academic year 2001 Adopted by March 5, 2003 at the 1st meeting of University Academic Council at the 2nd semester of the academic year 2002 Adopted by March 18, 2009 at the 1 st meeting of University Academic Council at the 2nd semester of the academic year 2008 Article 1 The Regulations for Application for Grade Review by Students and Change in Grade by Teachers at I-Shou University (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulations”) are prescribed in accordance with the Academic Rules of I-Shou University. Article 2 Grades which have already been submitted to the Registration Section cannot be modified. However, if errors are found upon review or grades are proved to be mistaken by supporting data. Article 3 After self-evaluation, it is necessary to have the grades rechecked or verified, and students may apply for review to the Curriculum Section. Article 4 Teachers may apply for change in grade by filling out an application form. The application must be approved by the Chair of the department (Director of the institute) before submitted to the Chief of the Registration Section for review and then to the Dean of Academic Affairs for approval. If the grades of lower than 60 are to be modified to be higher than 60, a data report must be provided and adopted by the University Academic Council. If the grade correction involves expulsion, the case shall be adopted by the University Academic Council and ratified by the President. Article5 Students who apply for grade review must apply within ten days (applicants can only apply once) after the grades are announced on the University’s Information System. No late application is considered. Article 6 Teachers who apply for change in grade shall apply within twenty days after the 1 deadline of grade submission (applicants can only apply for once). The applications shall be approved by the President should teachers do not apply within the prescribed deadline. Article 7 The Regulations become effective after adopted by the University Academic Council and ratified by the President. The same procedure applies to any amendment to these Regulations. Note: In the event of any disputes or misunderstanding as the interpretation of the language or terms of these Regulations, the Chinese language version shall prevail. 2
