NON-INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FORM
2013-2014
Please use this form to report any non-institutional or private scholarships you will be receiving. This means
scholarships that are NOT from any state, Federal, or Messiah College sources. Include all scholarships
from your high school, church, private businesses, clubs, or private individuals (do not list gifts from family
members or friends.) You should also report interest-free or low-interest loans, called non-institutional loans
(NILN) you will be receiving from private organizations on this form, marked clearly as loans.
If we know about these scholarships by July in the financial aid process, your financial aid award and student
bill will be more accurate and we won’t need to revise your financial aid award later in the year. This gives
you a better idea of the final amounts of your financial aid (especially loans) earlier in the year.
Federal regulations require schools to include these scholarships as part of your Financial Aid
package.
You must complete this form annually if you expect to receive any non-institutional or private
scholarships.

your scholarships. This information is important in determining your loan eligibility. ** Important: Messiah’s policy is to
split scholarships for the academic year (half for fall & half for spring) unless specified otherwise by the awarding
