European Medical Information Framework (EMIF) Colloquium

L’objectiu del projecte EMIF es desenvolupar un marc comú d'informació per a les dades a nivell de
pacients. Aquest marc connectarà diverses bases de dades reals de pacients, permetent als científics
l’accés a noves vies de recerca mèdica. El projecte es centra inicialment en l'obesitat i la malaltia
d'Alzheimer.
57 organitzacions d’ Europa participen al projecte, col·laborant durant cinc anys (2012-2017) amb un
pressupost de 58 milions d'euros. El Projecte EMIF està finançat per la Iniciativa Europea de
Medicaments Innovadors (IMI).
El col•loqui permetrà als socis de l'EMIF, representats per 120 científics europeus que participen al
projecte, explicar la importància de les dades obertes i el potencial d’EMIF per facilitar l’accés a aquesta
informació amb les degudes garanties. El públic estarà format pels actors locals, companyies
farmacèutiques, la comunitat d'investigadors i mitjans de comunicació.
L'esdeveniment es durà a terme el 10 de desembre, entre 18: 00-20: 00h a l'auditori del Parc de Recerca
Biomèdica de Barcelona (PRBB). Després s’oferirà una copa a la terrassa del PRBB. Hi haurà traducció
simultània disponible. Una agenda detallada de l'esdeveniment s'adjunta.

The EMIF project aims at creating a common information framework of patient-level data from medical
and research data sources, opening up new avenues of research for scientists. The project is focused
initially on obesity and Alzheimer’s disease.
EMIF represents 57 partner organizations from across Europe, collaborating on a five-year project (20122017) with a budget of 58 million Euros. The EMIF Project is funded by the European Innovative
Medicines Initiative (IMI).
The Colloquium will allow the EMIF partners, represented by 120 European scientists involved in the
project, to explain the importance of real world data and the potential of EMIF in unlocking this
information. The audience will consist of local stakeholders, pharmaceutical companies, the research
community and media.
The event will be held on December 10, between 18:00 - 20:00 at the Barcelona Biomedical Research
Park (PRBB) auditorium. It will be followed by a networking drink on the PRBB terrace. There will be
simultaneous interpretation available. A detailed agenda of the event is attached.
