NEW YORK SIM UPDATES:
Materials and recordings from recent meetings are now available online:

A recording of the second Health Innovation Council meeting, held September 22, 2015, has been posted
online. The recording will be available to view until October 22.

The presentation and gallery walk slides from the second Workforce Workgroup meeting are now available.

Materials from the July 31 and the September 11 Integrated Care Workgroup meetings have been posted to the
SIM website.
The following SIM job openings remain open. Please feel free to share these postings broadly if you know of someone
who may be interested:

Director, Innovation Center – The selected candidate will be responsible for directing all aspects of the
Innovation Center, a newly-developed office responsible for implementation, oversight, management and
evaluation of the State Health Innovation Plan (SHIP) and to oversee the $100M State Innovation Model (SIM)
Testing grant.

Public Health Physician 3 – The selected candidate will be responsible for the implementation of the SHIP
inclusive of development and implementation of an integrated care delivery infrastructure premised on a strong
foundation of primary care.
IN THE NEWS:

Report On New York State’s All Payer Database
The New York State Health Foundation published a report prepared by the APCD Council on the state’s All Payer
Database that was created through 2011 legislation. The report analyzes some of the issues that have risen
during the development of regulations and policies surrounding the APD, and also offers advice to policymakers
based on report findings. The full report can be read here.

Transforming Clinical Practices Initiative
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services recently announced 39 national and regional healthcare
networks were recipients of $685 million dollars through the Transforming Clinical Practices Initiative (TCPI).
The initiative will last for four years and aims to assist clinicians in achieving large-scale health transformation.
