triangle ratios, trigonometric ratios, and Pythagorean triples using a variety of
methods.

Learning Activities:
 Students will analyze similar right triangles to derive trigonometric ratios.

 Deriving Trigonometric Ratios Lesson

Checks for Understanding:
 During the activity, students will need the teacher’s initials to see if they property
derived the trigonometric ratio before moving on today’s intro lesson to
trigonometry.
 Students will play a Kahoot game and will be assessed on trig ratios.

triangle.

Learning Activities:
 Students will work in pairs to complete more practice with trig section 7.5/7.6 in
their packet.

 Teacher will ask for questions over the previous day’s homework.
