Students will apply criticalthinking skills to analyze financial options based on current and projected economic factors. Students will gain knowledge and skills necessary to set and achieve long-term financial goals. Course Outline: Personal Financial Decisions Income Sources Budgets Savings and Investing Credit Management Rent vs Buying Vehicles Post High School and College Planning Consumer Rights Required Materials: Pen (Black and Red) Pocket Folder with Brads (Purple o Green) Package of Loose Leaf Notebook Paper Laptop and earphone Evaluation: Students will have every opportunity to earn an “A”, but it depends entirely on the student’s effort. Students are responsible for earning their own grades. Any form of scholastic dishonesty will be handled according to the Student Code of Conduct. Late work must be done and completed by the given due date. Exams, Tests, Projects, Quizzes 70% Class Assignments, Homework, *Participation 30% *Participation includes group work, notebook journal checks, class participation, and internet assignments. It is extremely important to take good notes. All assignments, handouts and notes are to be kept in a pocket folder/notebook. Assignments are posted on the HUB.
