What are we learning?
Daily Objective: Students will learn how to describe family members, celebrations and
parties.

familiar words, phrases, and sentences to listeners and readers.
How will we learn it?
Learning Activities:
 Opening: Teacher will introduce new vocabulary about family by asking students
how many members in the family they have, or if they have any stepsiblings,
stepparents, etc.
 Students will complete vocabulary handout and will begin memorizing meaning
and pronunciation of new vocabulary using Quizlet.
How will we tell if we’re learning it correctly?
Assessment Methods: Quizlet practice
Checks for Understanding: ask students to give answers aloud.
What do I need to be successful?
Materials: vocabulary handout and teacher’s power point presentation.

Follow Up/HW: oral quiz vocab. 5A and introduction of vocabulary 5B.

 Students will review meaning and pronunciation over vocabulary 5A and will take
vocab. 5A oral quiz.
 Teacher will introduce new vocabulary about how to order a meal in a restaurant
by asking students their favorite meal and restaurant to go or share any incident
about ordering a meal.
 Students will complete vocabulary handout 5B and will begin memorizing meaning
and pronunciation of new vocabulary using Quizlet.
 Teacher will announce vocabulary 5A&B quiz for Friday.

oral quiz 5B. After quiz, students will create vocabulary organizer in pairs.
