Learning Activities:
 Opening: Review previous literary movements (characteristics), use timeline.
 Literary movement: El modernismo, make connections with historical context.
 Listen to poem “A Roosevelt”, students share what they understand (from 1st reading).
 Re-read, understand each verse and connect to historical context. Student shares
information (homework) about assigned character while analyzing poem.

Assessment Methods: Essay. Test Modernismo and Generación del 98 on Feb. 12.
