Lara Stage 1 – Desired Results (TS=The Student) Understanding (s)/goals: Essential Question(s): Student Outcomes (objectives): EU1: The student will describe qualities and skills needed to perform a job. In this process they will describe how people should act during a job interview. EQ1: What are the needed skills/qualities for a specific job/career. How do these qualities/skills shape and reflect our cultural perspectives? SO1.1: TS will learn the Capítulo 5 vocabulary EU2: By talking about skills and qualities, students can give an opinions over qualities that are important to have in certain jobs/career. EQ2: How are the skills/qualities and our perceptions of established in USA and Latin America? SO2.1: TS will describe skills needed for a job by using the prefect tense. Through this activity they learn about writing a classified ad for a job. SO2.2:TS will also learn possessive and demonstrative adjectives and pronouns when talking about qualities/skills they possess. EU3: By talking about job/careers, students will have an understanding and know how to compare cultural perspectives on dealing with EQ3: What types of jobs/careers are in more demand in the USA compared to latin America? SO3.1: TS will continue to practice the perfect tense/possessive and demonstrative adjectives/pronouns and any other tense needed to convey on a job interview. Students will show their mastery by forming a company and also applying for a job. SO3.2: TS will create a classified ad for a position created by their company (“group”). Students will have an opportunity to do a gallery walk to see the other companies job postings so assimilated to jobs/workplace/communities. SO1.2: TS will see a video showing the variety of qualities and cultural influences of how certain skills and qualities are needed for certain jobs/career and compare and contrast to how they differ to that of USA. jobs in the USA and demands of Latin America that they create a resume and apply for that job.
