 Warm-Up: Set academic goals for the spring semester.
 In Pairs: Students graph parent functions and identify significant features using a
table of values.

Students’ graphs. Check student-made graphs against parent graphs on teacher-made
power point.

 Small groups: create a table of values, describe transformations in words and graph
of a selected equation and explain to class.
